Nestled on a tranquil country block bordering Tallebudgera Creek in the Gold Coast, The Cottage was crafted by the talented husband and wife duo, Lisa and Roy. Their expertise as a builder and interior designer shine through in every detail of this 53m² studio. This project is a testament to their vision, with an open floor plan that combines a cozy bed, a sitting area by the fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Embracing a timeless ‘traditional country’ style, The Cottage provides warmth and comfort.

The design journey of The Cottage drew inspiration from a delightful blend of English, American, and Australian cottage styles. With a keen eye for detail, Lisa and Roy selected TradCo products to elevate the charm of their space. Opting for period switches and sockets in Antique Brass, complemented by Classic Drawer Pulls and Domed Cupboard Knobs in Unlacquered Polished Brass for the kitchen, a choice intended to gracefully patina over time, enriching The Cottage’s character.
In addition, the Milton Door Knob & hinges in Antique Brass were used for the bathroom door. TradCo instantly stood out as a perfect fit for The Cottage as the aim was to incorporate a ‘traditional’ aesthetic. The versatility and quality of the hardware fit the brief. With their first experience using TradCo exceeding expectations, Lisa and Roy eagerly anticipate infusing their future home projects with the same quality and timeless style.

Milton Knob - Long Backplate
Influenced by classic English hardware design during the early 20th-century, the Milton Knob features a rounded form lightly bound within a refined rim. For those seeking to reintroduce heritage integrity within their home, the Milton Knob complements Federation and Edwardian homes built between 1901-1920, and California-style Bungalows built between 1915-1940. Its graceful profile is also suited to interpretations of traditional designs, including Modern Farmhouse.
