Modern Farmhouse, Patterson Bradley

Patterson Bradley Home project planner, Amy Simpson, completed a modern farmhouse build just outside the picturesque seaside township of Port Fairy in December 2019.

The project – a large family home in the country – comprised all elements of the building and home fit out, including the home’s concept and spacial planning, alongside the interior and exterior design.

“A large part of “getting it right” means the constant focus on a growing family throughout all the design elements.”

Our Traditional flush pull in Satin Brass adds a modern pop of colour to the kitchen space of this farmhouse.

The home design drew its inspiration from iconic elements of traditional pastoral buildings. Timber cladding, A-framed roofing with striking gables combined with a restrained look to keep the look classic but contemporary.

Crucial to creating a sense of timelessness throughout this particular home was the use of quality brass fixtures and finishes.

Patterson Bradley turned to Tradco for high-quality hardware, selecting an aged brass finish throughout the farmhouse project. This created a beautiful raw, rich look which is designed to wear and age naturally, adding to the traditional, yet contemporary-classic, country feel of the home.

Small details that make a difference, like our concealed fix doorstop.

Matching the finish throughout from door hardware to hinges, gives the home a seamless look.
