The principals of Traditional Hardware, Graham and Denise Duff, have been involved in furniture restoration and home renovation for well over 20 years now. “Traditional Hardware” evolved out of necessity – in the late 70’s and early 80’s there was a scarcity of appropriate fittings available, with one having to rely on a rapidly diminishing source of recycled original pieces.
Along with some other of the early participants in the restoration industry, Graham and Denise recognized the need for a supply of good quality reproduction fittings based upon the designs originally used in early Australian homes, or on furniture found in those homes.
From the humble “backyard operations” in 1982, with a handful of items, faithfully reproduced either locally or overseas, Traditional Hardware evolved to a stage where we now offer a most comprehensive range and are perhaps the leading supplier in the industry – indeed, we consider ourselves “The Restoration Specialists”.
Our product range encompasses Victorian and Edwardian fittings, right through the eras to our recently released Retro and Contemporary cabinet fittings.
